Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Jack Barnes Elementary is supported by a very involved PTO. Through various fundraising events, the PTO sponsors many enrichment and social activities including the Math & Science Lab, some field trips, and teacher “mini grants.” One exciting annual event to look forward to is the APEX Run in November.

Joining and volunteering with the PTO is a great way to make a difference in your child’s education and meet other school families. Feel free to contact any of the PTO officers with questions, ideas, or to volunteer.

Volunteers Welcome!

We always need and welcome volunteers for the Barnes Elementary PTO. Contact the school office at (480) 987.7400 or email our PTO for more information.

During the day, we need classroom assistants, small group leaders, one-on-one tutors, and playground supervisors. All school day volunteers must undergo a criminal background check. There are many ways to help on your own time if you are not able to come to school during the day. If you are interested in volunteering, contact your child’s teacher. Teachers have many tasks you can completed at home for parents who need to stay at home with younger children.
