Why Jack Barnes Elementary
We welcome you to Jack Barnes Elementary School. We provide top-quality education and care to children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Jack Barnes is an Excelling school with an A grade from the Arizona Department of Education. We're located in Queen Creek, Arizona, in the metro Phoenix area. At Barnes Elementary School, we set high standards. In fact, we inspire and support each other to achieve our very best. We take pride in offering a world-class education and in our growing community. Our caring, professional staff makes each day a wonderful learning experience for our kids. We believe that a quality education integrates character development, artistic development, and social development, as well as academic excellence. We strive to inspire a spirit of lifelong learning in our students.
We offer a wide variety of educational opportunities to reach all personalities and learning styles, both inside and outside of the classroom. Our caring and cooperative community makes Barnes Elementary a truly special place. Our Parent Teacher Organization is one of the most active in the state. Our school is a community resource, where people come together, share ideas, and work for the benefit of our students.
Arizona College and Career Ready Standards
The Arizona State Standards are here. We are implementing them in our classrooms across the district. Arizona, along with 46 other states, worked to create standards in English language arts, and math for the K–12 curriculum.

Our Community
We love our community! Queen Creek's approximately 50,000 residents enjoy the many benefits of small-town living, yet we're close to the entertainment and employment opportunities of the Phoenix metropolitan area. We enjoy 330 days of sunshine each year and a wide variety of recreational activities.
Since its incorporation on September 5, 1989, the Town of Queen Creek has adopted several award-winning plans to guide future growth and progress. Our community has grown from rich rural roots to one of the most innovatively planned family-friendly towns in Arizona.
